Kyle: I got your message on AIM, and don't worry, I'm passing it on furiously.
Chris: I heard you were into that band Akron/Family? I heard them play last night. I was wearing a BGKF shirt, and the bassist was asking me all about it. He thought it was intense (the shirt). I told him to try the music. I gave him the web address.
Joe: Watch the carbs!

Does open letter mean that other people can add to this? It would seem, then, that every thread so far has been an open letter, if you know what I mean!

Yes Jack, I have been listening Akron/Family a lot. They are one of my current favorites. How was the live show? I wanted to see them live but I had to work that night, plus I didn't have the money for gas and entry fee. I have not heard Banhart's Cripple Crow, in fact I didn't even know he had any new material. Is it as good as it should be?

Chris, yeah, the show was good. I liked the vocal arrangements especially, whenever a song got loud it was because there was a big 4 part campfire type harmony coming. The entry fee was better than most but the gas money is what will get you, and yeah, I remember wanting to make it to shows in Memphis last year like Hella and Dillinger Escape Plan and not being able to make it, so I hear you on that. As for Banhart, see for yourself: www.xlrecordings.com/features/devendrabanhart/sampler/index.html
